Christmas is a magical time of year and we went all out at Zhong-Ming campus! Teachers set the tone with morning carols, not one but two Christmas concerts filled the school with festive spirit, as kids sang and danced! It’s the most wonderful time of the year…
We are on the Theme about Family, where our family lives and activities we can do with our families. The students looked at different houses and apartments that we will generally see around our neighborhood. We also looked at different types of houses like igloos, huts, mud houses and float houses.

We briefly explained how the Pilgrims traveled all the way to America on a big ship. The Native Americans came along and said they could help!
In order to thank them for their kindness and help, the Pilgrims invited the Natives Americans to a feast and they celebrated their friendship.

Welcome to the “spooky spectacular” at Zhong Ming Campus! The kids also enjoyed a fun catwalk with their friends! They got a chance to dress up in their Halloween costume and to walk down the catwalk! This is a great way to show off their costumes and to build their confidence walking in front of a crowd!

When arriving at school, YOU smiled at your kids lovingly and confidently sent them into our hallways or handed them to our caring teachers.Magic happens when teachers and parents work together, especially in the most stressful times of our children's lives.

The class learned more about the ocean like why the ocean is salty.
We did a science experiment about salt water and fresh water. We also learned about the ocean zones and made our own ocean zones model using a bottle.
The children were amazed with this simple yet fun experiment.

To celebrate our National Day, we talked about Taiwan and things we love about Taiwan. Then we singed Taiwan’s National Anthem. Although this song is in Chinese, we thought it is important that the children had to understand that every country has its own national anthem.

After the Moon Festival and the students were very much interested in the moon and how it reflected in the night sky. Then the discussion flowed towards nighttime and daytime. We listed the things that we can encounter at night and things that we can come across only during the day.

Squirrel class has begun learning about ‘plant-life’.This will include things such as indentifying different seeds, plant species, how to care for a plant, what things may grow from plants and most importantly teaching the children that a plant is a living thing that needs special care survive

What do people do at Moon Festival? First, the children had a little discussion before they went into the topic. However, the end goal is for children to learn patience; something is more about the journey than the destination.
