First the students were introduced to various fruits by focusing on the names, shapes and even how each of them tastes. We also brought pots of strawberry plants and asked the students to observe the leaves, flowers and fruits of these strawberry plants. The students also learnt how to take care of these strawberry plants and they watched the green and white fruits gradually turn red, comprehending the growth process.

Next was exploring our senses and for this activity the students were presented with different kinds of fruits, such as Kiwi fruit, apples, oranges, bananas and even small tomatoes. Students were asked to touch and smell the fruits, observe their appearances, color and shape and then finally have the pleasure of tasting these delicious fruits. Almost all these fruits were sweet and juicy, and the children in the class loved to eat them.

Lastly was teaching the students that fruits could be enjoyed and eaten in many ways, such us jams where one would have to take fruits like blueberries, cranberries and blackberries, cook them on a stove and by adding some sugar, lemon peel and a little fruit juice to the cooked berries, one could create delicious jams to put on toast. Or another alternative is to make fruit juices by squeezing out the juices of the fruits to drink.

What a wonderful way to explore fruit! Our students really had lots of fun with all of these extraordinary lessons.

這個月幼幼班的教學主題為"食物與感覺器官"，透過認識水果來讓孩子了解各種水果的名稱、形狀、味道，另外希望讓孩子運用嗅覺、觸覺與味覺，所以這一天老師帶來了各式各樣的水果，例如：奇異果、蘋果、柳丁、香蕉和小番茄等…老師先讓孩子用眼睛觀察這些水果的外觀、顏色，用手摸摸看形狀、觸感，用鼻子聞聞看味道，接下來讓孩子品嚐味道，香甜可口的水果，每個孩子都吃得津津有味！

老師還特別帶了一盆草莓植物並請孩子觀察草莓植物的葉子、花和果實，每天我們都細心的照顧它，看著青白色果實漸漸地轉紅，讓孩子知道草莓的成長過程，孩子都非常的專注及開心。

最後我們還帶著孩子製作果醬，老師用藍莓、紅莓、黑莓請孩子加糖、檸檬皮和少許的果汁，加熱慢慢攪拌，讓孩子知道果醬的製作過程並品嚐了親手製作果醬的風味。老師甚至共同舉辦了一個小小市集，每個攤位販售不同口味的果醬土司，孩子依序排隊練習數代幣買土司，自己買到的果醬吐司果然特別的好吃！藉由一系列衍伸的課程，孩子從中也享受了很不一樣的體驗。
